It does seem, though, like education is severely lacking in the enterprise when it comes to this topic and how to manage mobile security. I think if more people were forced to hear about such threats, mandated by corporate policy to take a course, that they'd be more careful with their devices.
Thanks for that analysis, Mary. Education is always a good idea, but I wonder if its practicable for IT to impose policy restrictions on use of mobile devices to access certain kinds of data? For example, do you want users forwarding emails from their mobile devices to corporate inboxes? It's not feasible, of course, directly to manager personally owned devices, but that shouldn't mean giving up on managing access to corporate networks and data.
