Good point. Many of the carriers have large Wi-Fi networks. It will be interesting to see how much of their traffic gets diverted and also whether or not they start to try to find some ways to recoup such investments. After all, we have found that free often mean free only for a limited time.

The certification and direct hand off to the cellular network and back, will greatly beneifit the carrier companies in diverting and easing the traffic.
