"To the world wide web we sing, what will 2012 bring? Maybe Facebook's IPO. Overvalued? We think so."

So does everyone else, apparently!

Thanks for the compliment, SunitaT. I wrote the lyrics, but they couldn't have come to life this way without the wonderful enthusiasm of the rest of the staff. Happy Holidays to you, too!

And here I am this year moaning and complaining about how everyone in the immediate and extended circles are being so old fashioned and still sending out Christmas Cards.

This is the technolgical age dang it!  (LOL)

Here, too, Dream Chaser! Yes, it gets funnier and funnier. And you discover new things every time you watch it, like today I saw this guy waving his hand in front of the camera when passing next to Kim. :D You have quite a nice hat, too.

Happy Holidays!

Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year!

Lovely, lovely Christmas Carols, very funny, which is actually the good and right spirit for these days. :) I like your red hat.

Graphing Facebook Graph Search's Success

1|25|13   |   2:13   |   10 comments

Facebook's Graph Search may face some profound challenges and risks, first, because Facebook users haven't been thinking of their posts as product reviews; and second, because Facebook will now have to contend with the social-network equivalent of SEO "gaming" of results.

A decade after the dotcom boom, the Internet continues to dramatically change the way that business gets done and individuals communicate. More than a trillion email messages traveled over the Net last year, and dramatic changes loom on the horizon.

MySpace ‘Reinvention’ Comes Too Late

10|29|10   |   2:09   |   7 comments

MySpace is reinventing itself by focusing on content, but it's too late, and other social networks should learn from its example by looking toward a telco payment model if they want to sustain user commitment and their own revenue.

UltraViolet Could Bring DRM Harmony

11|30|12   |   2:26   |   No comments

The new UltraViolet online DRM model has people upset, but the question we should ask ourselves is whether we want a flexible model to harmonize content owner and content consumer rights, or a one-takes-all model that probably results in less online content.

IT Suffers From Obama Admin's Jekyll & Hyde Approach to Privacy Rights
Ron Miller
Recently, the Obama administration has been of two minds where privacy rights are concerned. On one hand, you have an administration that vowed to
veto CISPA and mandated open data for government websites. On the other hand, you have an increasingly out-of-control Department of Justice on a fishing expedition at AP and demanding legislation to let the FBI wiretap private, encrypted communications and levy fines if a company fails to comply.
