Good questions! Symbian is still officially in the game, but more IMHO as a feature-phone platform. MeeGo, I think, is a bit of a hedge for them. If Phone 7 does badly or if their two MeeGo handsets do well, they could keep pushing. Otherwise I think it slips below the surface.

Are they scrapping symbian all together? Is this move an attempt to gain low end market share as well of just mid-market share? And what about MeeGo, are they planning on making more of their high-end devices?

Nice set of charts, Nasimson! The article is right in my view re Nokia; they stalled too long thinking they could make Symbian an alternative to Android or iOS, and now they are committed to making Phone 7 into the same thing. At least they have some backing in their current move, but it's going to be a long slog for them IMHO.
