Funniest things teachers could throw at sleeping students!  Sounds like a topic for an IE poll.

Oh I still remember blackboards, Kim. Got a lot of dust in my eyes back in the day. But as a student, I think it'll be funnier to see a stuffed Angry Bird getting hurled at your classmate than a piece of chalk (or a board marker!) flying through the classroom :)

Boling, human beings are no doubt the nosiest freaking species in this sector of the known universe.  Why it's like that I don't know.  Maybe we've been isolated here in our little corner of the galaxy for that reason.  So we'll keep our noses out of everyone elses damn business.

Hey, Chaser, that really made me laugh out loud. Heck if I saw the file CuriosityRover.exe on my PC I'd be ringing Peter Norton's doorbell.

Curiosity Rover. No doubt martians will be thinking . . here comes the earthlings and their snooping technology nosing into our privacy and personal business again. Curiosity Rover is the kind of name you might see on a tracking cookie actually, along with Doubleclick, Quantcast, Tynt Tracer, and all the others.

You are making me feel old, magnetic north.  In my day, sleeping pupils were woken up by the teacher throwing a piece of chalk or a blackboard duster.  And who even remembers blackboards?

A friend of mine who's a teacher has toyed with the idea of flinging stuffed Angry Birds to students sleeping in his class. I'm thinking Rovio could make more money out of that if they sold slingshots too.

That's good to know Bolingbroke.  I was thinking of droning on about the state of the space program in the video, but I think two minutes of me talking at everyone is enough.

dcuperus, things are not as bad they seem, as we post,  Curiosity Rover is on its way to Mars, scheduled for an August 6, 2012 landing. As far as I know there are no Katy Perry decals on the rover.

John Glenn's public figure Facebook page has over 5,000 likes.  The official Facebook Angry Birds page?  You really want to know?  Over 16 million likes.  That's what I meant by using Neil Armstrong's quote about how small we are growing.  If that makes sense.

IT Suffers From Obama Admin's Jekyll & Hyde Approach to Privacy Rights
Ron Miller
Recently, the Obama administration has been of two minds where privacy rights are concerned. On one hand, you have an administration that vowed to
veto CISPA and mandated open data for government websites. On the other hand, you have an increasingly out-of-control Department of Justice on a fishing expedition at AP and demanding legislation to let the FBI wiretap private, encrypted communications and levy fines if a company fails to comply.

Websites Should Consider Tougher ID Verification Policies
Alan Reiter
The apartment and house sharing service,
Airbnb, now requires members to verify their identities by demonstrating a presence on the web, and by either scanning a government ID or entering detailed personal details. Other enterprises should take a close look at Airbnb's verification policies.
