I was offered a discount spa visit today. I should really keep a diary of these moronically inappropriate offers. Or maybe I should take them up, and see how welcome I am at the businesses making the offers.
I am just guessing, but it's likely set up so that the Help Desk people have no way of adjusting what ads you receive. Doubtless the latter is based on an algorithm, and maybe pulling the data out and putting new data in just isn't as easy as it sounds.
I'm just surprised that they would not change the profile from female to male. Do you think they were trying to make a sale by not changing it? Incredible indeed.

I had mentioned that Amazon does list two prices in my third paragraph. I went to check because I was curious if Kim had been duped or may not have seen the option. When I saw it, the option was obvious. However, I think Kim is pointing out that Amazon did not have this listed on the big board when they introduced the product. Maybe they mentioned discounted in the speech. I do not know. But I think the point is why did they not list all prices on the big board. Because the truth does not look as good.
Victor, not to come off as an Amazon fanboy but rather than base your purchase of Kindle on news stories I would suggest that you go directly into tiger's lair i.e. Amazon.com, where it will not take much searching to see that the $79 machine does indeed come with ads, they even have screen shots of ads for AT&T, a credit card and a Kindle book selection.
