Nearly 30 years of experience in telecom has taught me that customers and end users care less about how than about the end result of technology. I've worked for Baby Bells, as an independent consultant, and for start up telecoms in the US and in Europe. Security and privacy of online communications are primary focuses for me.
Now I'm taking a couple of years off from the corporate rat race and building an off-grid home in the remote and beautiful San Luis Valley of Colorado. My only connections with the outside world are the postal service, an intermittent cellphone connection, and a surprisingly reliable satellite internet connection.
