You sold me on Meetr - I often do those calculations in my head as I sit through meetings. The concept is great - but the app has awhile to go on the interface.
The interface only allows touch enry on salary - no typing - and the touch is not very easy to use if you have big clumsy fingers.
Not very easy to customize and save salaries.
So the CONCEPT is there, but I don't know if I will get my 1.99 of value with this version - but there is always an update coming!
I use google talk as my primary chat resource, is that different from gchat? I've never been to a hangout, at least not to the googke kind. I do use google plus, pretty much the way I use twitter, quietly following people or putting them in my circles or whatever, sharing things to them along with 'liking' them on facebook or 'pinning' them on pinterest. The social Internet is for me mostly about getting people to listen to my Internet radio show or otherwise participate in some activity I'm promoting; I do confess to having some fun interacting with people I haven't seen in years, though. But that's almost always on facebook.
Hey, she sure boosted the her company account's following and amplification. There's something to boast about on the resume and hope that the hiring manager doesn't seek too much context!

I was surprised that no one at HMV really 'got' social media other, apparently, from the woman they laid off. It goes against their whole image -- or maybe it shows why the company is now in some form of financial problem, I guess.
I bet if I made a wildly successful online service of some kind (such as, for example, a secure email provider), and then connected a social network to it and linked the accounts of users of the former to new, mandatory accounts on the latter, my social network would be deemed successful by those metrics too.
