That is a great feature and I am sure it works well if you have your laptop with you when you lose your iPhone. Is the app stored in the cloud? Can you locate your iPhone with a different computer, or a friends phone?
Hmmm...makes you wonder. My daughter actually has a stun gun app. I wonder how much money is really made from these useless apps? With the time it takes to make an app, I am surprised so much time is wasted on the ones that don't really have any use. But then again, having said that, I will also say there are several "useless" apps like "Office Jerk" that are nothing but a complete waste of time, yet they are still addictive. ;)
I have an iPod Touch and a 5" Android tablet. I carry a mobile hotspot to connect them to the Internet. I only use these when I'm seated and in a safe place, so it's hard to lose them. My phone, on the other hand, is a cheap feature phone that I won't cry over in case I lose it. If a thief steals it, I'll just contact my carrier to cut charges from that phone and then I'll buy another one. I don't need an app for that.
Well, the electric razor has raised more than a few questions! That is completely bizarre. Would my boss let me stay at work if I have nasty stubble as long as I simulated the action of shaving with my ipod?
There is an app for locating your phone...I can locate my Iphone from my laptop.
@PaulS, yes there are many such apps available. I am impressed with the app from mobile security company which allows you to locate a mobile device even when it's battery is fully discarged. The app logs the location of the phone right as the battery is discharging, which increases chances of finding it.
Mitch, - If you lose your phone i believe you can still get a sim with the same phone number...(i'm assuming this is a standard...). In which case you can receive your messages as before once you get a new phone.
