Anything that makes if easy on users is great. Ironic a bit that a humor site has too take the world more seriously if it wants to get the maximum use of it's material form all platforms. Seems it would be funnier if they made it easy on everyone except one selected device at random.
I'm the de facto eBay expert at home, a job I'd gladly trade for almost any other task, given eBay's ongoing policy of changing its site every other day. I know that's an over-statement but that is what it feels like!
Site A being the ocean e.g., facebook and content for best usability would be one click ENLARGE? In the event the person has yet to like the brand page when sharing content that takes you away from the Site A (such as when official music video embedding was disabled on youtube), perhaps an embedded link to the like page would be an innovative solution?
Kim, I know, right? I really don't like the most recent change they rolled out. The one where they changed the sharing options and added one more click to be able to embed a video. I know, I know, it's one click, but it's one click more and it's time spent clicking through menus that weren't there before.
With more sites relying on users and professional content-creators, I think Cheezburger.com's issue is going to become more and more common; that is, finding ways to simplify the way in which content creators interact with the home site. After all, these aggregation sites are competing with one another, as well as traditional social media sites, and if people or pros find it too difficult to share their content with Site A, they'll simply head over to Site B. There is no shortage of choices. As the Cheezburger.com IT exec said, performance is job one for visitors; ease-of-interaction, though, has to be a close second.
on seond thought, I despise sharing anything on fb that takes you away from fb. that also went to video sharing with embedding disabled which forced you to view only on youtube. VEVO allowed for that change to take place.
