that was a topic of a discussion (banks customer centric) today at a BoA branch here in Los Angeles. The differences in customer service efficiency in a Beverly Hills branch and one that is Central Los Angeles that had 15 customers 5 of which were disabled and 5 tellers on.
I think the bank would just respond to the complaints and then continue its bad behavior. Tweeting complaints would be cathartic but I don't know how effective.
I joined a credit union a year ago and my experience has definitely been a pleasant one compared to my primary bank. At the credit union, it's more of a personal feel and they are more wiling to work with you when your credit may be a little less than perfect.
I say credit unions sre far better in more than one way. I know the ones in my area are far more tech savvy than our banks and I also feel like put their customers first, which I love. I think as time goes on, banks will lose out and maybe then they will finally see the error in their ways at long last-even though it will be too late for the most part.
