@ Ariella

Cloud backup is a recommended way to protect loss of data in case of a stolen/snatched device but remote wiping should be the feature that should be kept   activated so as to protect data from getting in the hands of an unauthorized person.

Exactly aum007. I second that thought of yours. Its something that service providers should look into. Need something big but in quick time.

Exactly altaf. The service providers should know their responsibilities and most of them do speak highly on their coverage and so on but when it comes for stability nothing is there.

I noticed that PayPal is being really aggressive with expanding their operations into the real-world. Or at least, outside online transactions, where they are already the preferred and probably most used payments service online. I'm hoping as well that PayPal will get their act together and be more clear when it comes to their policies and documentation.

@Anthony have you noticed PayPal has moved into the real world by partnering with Dollar General to become a payment option? Walgreen's and Walmart are carrying PayPal cards you can link to your account to make use of your balance without the need to transfer it to your bank account first. I wish PayPal would clean up their developer documentation and general help information.

@WaqasAltaf yes, I'm not sure it will ever be possible to guarantee absolute security. I do recall one person who said he keeps everything on his phone, including credit cards, but he said he's not worried because he has cloud backup if the phone is stolen or lost.

should we really be looking at computing from different categories rather than just one big category. I see it all becoming one is why I'm asking.

@ kicheko

IMO 2013 will be the year in which bankers and online retailers will try hard to remove the fears of the customers from online transactions as they realize that there is a big market that is uncaptured due to this problem. But 2013, nevertheless, will not be able to remove all fears.

I only got my smartphone in September and to use then Internet on it (which I'm doing now) is just like using the Internet on my computer. It is great bi really like having that kind of access on the go.

I am really iffy about mobile shopping. I feel like it is a huge risk and more so than being beneficial. Hackers could eaisly ruin it all and steal important data that could ruin the lives of so so many. I do not see why they feel the need to make shopping on the go a key part of their businesses. I would even go as far as saying that is wreckless on those storeis fault since they are playing with fire on that level.

Businesses often struggle to decide which domain to use. When it comes to purchasing a domain name, you have plenty of extensions to choose from, ranging from .com and .net, to .me, and even .mobi. But which one should you pick?

I've been writing about how the next evolution of the Internet might just be an advertising revolution, and how corporate IT can stay involved as the enablers and providers of the technologies that make this possible.

In the 1970 science fiction thriller Colossus: The Forbin Project, two giant supercomputers from the United States and Soviet Union secretly join forces to take control of the collective nuclear might of the two countries. In the film, the two machines discover each other's existence, communicate back-and-forth, share their collective data, and cut their human creators out of the process. It is the ultimate example of machine-to-machine communications, or M2M.

Argument Over Top-Level Domains Is 'Stupid'

The whole Amazon.reader debate is a double-stupid. It's stupid to think that there's any e-book buyer who doesn't know Amazon's URL, and it was stupider to let ICANN launch the whole free-form TLD initiative to start with.
