I sat down at IBM Impact 2013 with Phil Buckellew, IBM's vice president for enterprise mobile.
In that capacity, Phil is responsible for setting the strategy and coordinating requirements for mobile solutions across the IBM software portfolio.
Phil Buckellew, Vice President, IBM Enterprise Mobile
In so doing, Phil helps ensure that IBM provides a comprehensive strategy for enterprise mobile solutions with a set of integrated offerings spanning enterprise needs, including building and connecting, managing and securing, and extending and transforming business processes with mobile offerings.
But this isn't Phil's first rodeo. A native Texan, Phil most recently served as the vice president for IBM's Social Business and Collaborations sales, and prior to that was director of development for IBM Unified Communications.
Our conversation ran the gamut (and ran up the clock!) because there is so much to discuss in this space: How companies can get started and should be thinking about mobile. How critical design thinking is to effective and useful mobile solutions. The important and diverse issues surrounding mobile security.
We talked about these concerns, and more, in a far-ranging discussion centered on the most talked about issue at IBM Impact 2013.
