I've long been fascinated by micropayments.
I know, most people are fascinated by old cars, or classical art, or coins or something.
So I'm fascinated by micropayments.
Probably, because they make me think about money, and what money is, and isn't, and what it represents and how it's represented. And because my money has been leaving my coffers through my stock portfolio and 401K faster than I care to admit, and by focusing on smaller increments of money, I can feel much better about myself and the world.
So, with that backdrop in mind, check out a new Twitter online payment service, entitled "Twitpay."
Twitpay is positioning itself as a simple way to send payments via Twitter. It's scary easy to use, and I suspect could lead to a crazy Tweeting underground economy that will make Linden dollars look like Confederate dollars.
But it does take a little explaining.
However, rather than me explain it to you, I'm going to ship you on over to the Twitpay FAQ. Once you've done so, feel free to send me your money via Twitpay. My Twitter ID is "turbotodd."
I promise not to spend it all in one place.
