It's just like "Liking" your own status. It's just wrong, people!

The timing of this cartoon is quite astonishing to me, as my father passed away last week.  "#1 dad" is a nice tribute to my father. Taken literally, there is only one of him and only one dad for each of us.  Thanks, IE and Jon, for the coincidental posting!

It has just given me new ideas about how to embarrass my daughter.

lol...i think children should really learn to let their parents be also on social media. They will be old school yes and sometimes plain awkward but why not let them be happy. but i guess children just genuinely get embarassed. As for liking own status, i agree with you its queer to a good extent.

Am I the only one here who just wants to smack the kid?

In all seriousness, when I was a kid I would simply assume that if something my parents did clashed with the culture at the time, it was a 'parent' thing and had nothing to do with my world.

That's the way my kids look at me when I where my college alumni shirt while watching them play football and basketball on tv.

@Jon, good cartoon. I think kids should also learn to respect elder's choice.  No doubt kids are smarter than their parents these days but that doesn't mean kids can enforce their choice on their parents.

The whole Amazon.reader debate is a double-stupid. It's stupid to think that there's any e-book buyer who doesn't know Amazon's URL, and it was stupider to let ICANN launch the whole free-form TLD initiative to start with.
